Just to let everyone who answered my post and showed concern about Bran, he is back on the prednisolone, 25mg twice a day and since its started to kick in he has shown a marked improvement, is much perkier and even getting back to his old scavenging ways! (heard him at the kitchen sink doing his own brand of washing up) so hopefully as time goes by the dosage will be reduced, but think it will be for the best to keep him on a tiny dose forever just to keep the disease in check, anyway we shall have to see how things go....thanks again for all your help and advice, penel from cimda support was a great help too, thanks for putting me in touch barbara, as was louise topes info on her website, will keep you all posted about Bran, sarah. :huggles:

Glad to hear that Bran is feeling more like himself again :)) Bless him..

Good old Pred!!! I don't like steroids but there is a time and a place for them and I am afraid immune mediated problems are one of them.

:luck: to you and Bran but I honestly think if he has just got the ME type symptoms that, as long as you hit this episode hard and long enough, you should be able to tail the Pred off completely, at least within a year and you probably won't get any relapse, neither of my boys did (both with the same symptoms as Bran). Both were struck down with it in their prime (I know I said Dante relapsed once but that was my fault and it was within weeks of his first episode) and they are both very old OAPs now.
