OMG, I'm aching all over as I've been sitting on the edge of my seat watching this, Just seen the plane glide for 15 mins and eventually land safely, phew !
I know some will say don't watch, just fly blissfully ignorant, but I'm glued to programmes like this, I'm an optimist and think if I can get any hints whatsoever to help me and mine increase our chances of surviving a catastrophe I sit through the reconstructions (w00t)
Little tricks like counting the number of seat tops infront and behind me to the exit doors, as a survivor of the Manchester crash about 22 yrs ago said it was pitch black with smoke, you couldn't see the emergency floor lighting to know where you were and had to feel your way out...this is in my little ritual whenever I get into my seat on a plane :- "
OH always says I'm mad when I check under my seat for my safety jacket, he says it won't help if we fall out of the sky ! did you know some planes have them overhead instead of underneath ?
Anyway I'm off to bed now, probably to have some vivid dreams tonight :- "
