My friend is having to part with her 7 year old pedigree Whippet and would like a very loving home for him. He is brindle and white and he currently lives with another dog.

She is in the Northeast.

They are doing a wonderful job rehoming whippets, and may also have lists of people waiting to provide fantastic homes for whippets all over the country. This way your friend's dog will always be safe and loved in the best possible home :thumbsup:

Scruples would be happy for that to happen - though they don't have kennels anyway, dogs go to approved foster homes to live as part of the family until they are rehomed. No matter how careful she is, if she doesn't have the homes vetted appropriately, her boy could end up in the wrong hands - people can be quite sly when it comes to rehoming dogs and there's no way she can guarantee that he won't be passed on, unfortunately. Scruples make sure dogs are microchipped and do follow up checks. Also, people are not just responding quickly without thinking what having a dog entails - they've thought about it and pre-applied and are prepared to be grilled before thet get a dog!
