You almost overdid it, John, drumming up rain with your Lambeg; the show people on Sunday had a horribly wet day. Just another reason I'm glad the racing was on Sat. Nice to see that Colt is back in action and China is in winning form.

I was delighted also that my young whippet made it into the final and that his kennel mate repeated last year's performance and once again got second overall in the whippets (18 dogs, 3 heats, 6 dog final - on the whole the whippets ran truer than they did last year)

A big massive WELL DONE to all the winners and competitors!!!!!

Saturdays racing was the first lurcher meeting i was at since last years All Irelands and it was great to see all the familiar faces again and to meet some new ones. It was fantastic to see the camaraderie of all those involved especially at the starting line of the races, even great to see Matt joining in with the banter. This is how it ought to be.

Macha, me thinks you snook into the fair without paying, but hey i got in free also
