That really does sound very interesting!! I hope the OP sees this! :)

It is possible that the dog is allergic to potato or rice that you are feeding it. These are often used as 'fillers' in dry food. Feed it on raw meat and use shredded carrots etc to bulk it out.

Also - do you treat the dog regularly with 'Frontline' etc Google flea allergy dermatitis.

hi there sorry to hear little gizmo is poorly. I would be careful putting tea tree oil cream on to very sore or broken skin, as it is a very fine oil that can burn a bit, maybe try something like aloe vera? Although that does still sting slightly at first, it cools and leaves an almost layer on top of flaky sore areas. I have allergies and excema and i do use a tea tree oil and witch hazel cream, as an antibacterial, on cuts and stings or even cracked skin, if i feel it may get infected, but find it a bit harsh for easing already irritated skin. Pure aloe vera gel is nontoxic, would be safe for him to accidentally lick off, and is very good for skin conditions. My friend cured her dandruffy poodle with it. Good luck. :)
