I don't know you and have just asked someone and was told your

a friend of Milly's. So your friends with Milly, milly is friends with

Vicky, Vicky is friends with Tony Taylor and so on.

So when do these friends turn into a 'clique' ?

 

I presume you are talking about FAO bieng closed. And the girls in

there are the 'clique' Now i got a warning for asking about FAO but

i dont suppose for one moment you will because you're not part of

the 'Clique'.

The 'clique' sat on that on topic for nearly 2 years doing no harm to

anybody. Then some outsiders with personal problems with somebody

in there came in and caused problems. Im not saying that topic was

private to the 'clique' as it wasnt and anybody was entitiled to come in

and chat. But when they come in for the sole purpose of causing trouble.

They are the one's at fault. Once this topic was closed the problems

spilled out into all parts of K9. And now none of feel as if we can post

without getting some sort of problem crop up on the post.

And it also seems that if we complain the mods are not prepared to

give us a chance or even listen to us.

All this trouble has come from members making up names and coming

on causing arguments and then leaving the regulars to carry the can.

I have a daughter with learning difficulties, who is normally cared for by

my family while i work. I have now given up work after over 30 years to

care for her. If i wish to sit and make post's frequently during the day

while im at home and she is occupied i dam well will. It is not for tony

taylor to say how often i post. And it is certainly not for him to sit and

make remarks like this. Its not only offensive its a bloody insult.

I am involved with my local Mencap and would like to say most of the

members there are a bloody lot nicer than some of the people on here.

And for a mod to talk like this is a disgrace.

I have a problem with being called a part of a Clique......why a Clique

nobody else's friendship on K9 is called a Clique. I would have thought

the froum would be pleased that members form a friendship due to

using it.

I also have a problem with what i see as my daughter and others like

her (whatshappin's son for one) being used to prove a point by you.

I have no doubt you will come on and shot my post to pieces but you

asked Painted Lady several times to be specific.......so i am being in a

effort to get across to you why you have upset so many people.

As i said in an earlier post, anyone with a problem with the moderators take it up with Nigel, i am not prepared to babysit this topic all day replying to you when you have already been told what actions to take by both Tony & myself.

You need to ask Admin why the topic was closed.

It's incorrect to say there were no problems with certain members who regularly posted on that thread. The topic was public and regardless of the rights and wrongs of individual posters there is a widely held view that some of those regular posters bear most of the blame for what occurred. Similarly certain regular posters on that thread were seemingly out to cause trouble in other forums. i would suggest the mods are rather tired of the pot calling the kettle. Some members are acting as a school sneak in misbehaving on one hand and running off to spill the beans at every opportunity for others indiscretions.

I, and I know I'm not alone on this, don't accept that all the trouble was caused by other members.

At no point did I make any comments regarding how often anyone should or should not post and any suggestion I did is factually incorrect. I'm still at a loss as to how my post was insulting or offensive. Having a daughter with learning difficulties doesn't give you, or any one else in a similar situation any special rights to judge any comments on learning difficulties as being automaticaly offensive. My comments were directed at a previous post which oddly no one seems to remember. People with learning difficulties were deliberatly catagoricaly not insulted. Any insinuation they were is factualy incorrect and is frankly defamatory.

You are volunteering yourself as part of the clique. At no time have I made any statements to that effect. Perhaps you ought to consider why the term was used. The content of Facebook conversations of some of the clique are known.

I have apologised for using learning disabilities to "prove a point". I've admited it was crass. However any transferance of that idea to specific individuals with learning difficulties is neither implied or given in any of my posts. You have made a connection that does not exist. Any insinuation I have insulted your daughter is factualy incorrect and it was my deliberate intention not to insult any persons with learning difficulties.

It's possible there are members who lack the literary skills to understand my post and while obviously I can't be held responsible for their inability to comprehend the meaning of my posts I am sorry if it caused them any offence or distress. Considering what I did post some of the comments posted attacking me are rather ironic.

btw clearly it wasn't me who closed the thread but I'm in full agreement to that action being taken and I'm very grateful for their patience over this. It's unreasonable to expect other mods to be on the recieving end of members obnoxious behaviour on my behalf and in view of the above I will close this thread whenever I'm not around to reply. I will try and allow everyone to have their say and give notification as to when it's likely to be open but I will close it permanently once the general consensus is everyone has made their point.

I'm on no side, I have no personal issues with anyone involved, but at this point it's only going round in circles and going to end up in more insults. It's obviously an issue that both sides are never going to agree on, so my suggestion is if anyone feels they have a legimate grievance please take it up with admin as is the policy.

Users may not argue a Moderators or Administrators decision publicly. Any and all complaints directed at a Moderator must first address the Moderator in question via PM. Posts that ask where has such and such a post gone? are not acceptable. If the problem cannot be resolved, then the Moderator and user must send their positions to an Administrator. The Administrators decision will be final.

While this is no longer a direct 'arguing a mods decision' it still is people having an issue with a mod and the same protocol should be followed. Now that the discussion has taken place with the Mod and seems to be getting nowhere then it should be taken up with Admin. And at this point it really doesn't belong on the board as it's people's personal issues.

Please do not open up any more threads on this same topic.

Sorry, I've had a couple of busy days & haven't been here whilst this thread developed. A lot of that time has been spent putting together the new software release for K9 (although I wonder why I bother sometimes!).

I think Wendy's comments sum up things and this is an argument that sides will never agree.
