This isn't really about collars but does anyone know where I can a halti style headcollar (but not a halti because it makes his nose bleed) which puts pressure on the back of their head and not on the nose. I saw one on a link here some months ago but can't remember who it was. Thanks

We have the dogmatic leather ones. http://www.dogmatic.org.uk/ is the link.

We use the dogmatic headcollar too. But I would go for the padded one, not the leather one - unless we were just unlucky with our leather one - the ends "inside" the muzzle loop rubbed our dog's nose.

The padded one is a lot more comfy.

I think this is the one you are after ............. a Gencon, it is a figure of 8 soft webbing (and they do a padded version) which you can buy either as just a headcollar or an all-in-one. The pressure is round the neck, just behind the ears, not on the muzzle and my dogs all accept is much, much better than any halti-type contraption (and we have tried them all!!!)

Is it one of the ones with the ballstuds and the crystals?

No crystals - I couldn't do that to the poor boy, he already likes men a little too much!! It has lines of brass ballstuds round both edges :D

They changed their leather a couple of years back - so the new ones are proper bridle leather rather than the harsher leather of the first ones they used to make. (I have both kinds)

Also I oiled mine really well, so they don't rub. Just a thought to help you out with yours.
