Sadly, the poor dog's body was found at the base of the cliffI truly hope and hope for a good outcome to this piece of news ... but why do people let their dogs run on cliffs or even close to cliffs? Dogs have no notion that the land is going to "run out" when they are running, etc. And what a horrible thing for the owners to have to live with, too. Not nice, for all concerned.
That was my thought too - why would you let your dogs run free on a cliff top!!! I suppose warning notices wouldn't be a bad thing, but they're no substitute for common senseI can appreciate that the poor dog's owners are extremely upset but do people really need warning signs? Do they really not think ahead? I'm not being sarcastic either; just surprised that it doesn't seem to occur to people that this sort of thing can happen when you're on the cliffs.
