Me and my wife, Pauline, took the girls for their morning walk down the old train track, they were having some fun sniffing around some rabbit holes when I saw a youth 18/19 ish with a Staffy off the lead coming towards us. I put the girls on their leads, I always do just in case, and asked him if his dog was ok, he replied " he might be " so I said can you put him on his lead then. When he did, he said " come on Asbo you've had your breakfast " Pauline said, ignore him lets go. As we started to walk off he turned round and shouted " you ar'td to be a man and get a proper dog " I said back " what and be a man like you ? no thanks, I will stay as I am " Then he said, " are you trying to be funny ", me, " not really " him " do you want a f*****g slap " ? me " you are welcome to try " Then he walked towards me so I gave the girls to Pauline, zipped my jacket up and turned my collar up. Then he just stopped, started shouting F this F that calling me all the names under the sun and said " I'll have you when I see you again " me " whats up with now ? " Then he just walked off giving me the finger. Pauline said " what was up with him, what an idiot ". I just laughed and said " you sometimes come across these people, come on lets go and take the girls home and have some dinner ".

So that was another enjoyable Saturday morning walk.

You were so lucky he kept his dog on it's lead. It really could have had a different ending.

See, it's people like that idiotic lad (and poor wee Asbo, who won't have been brought up to know any better) who put me off dog-ownership. It's not just their dogs, it's the people.

Me being me, that would spoil that particular place to walk, for me, in the future, too.

I'm sorry you had to meet such a prat; and his poor dog.

fair play to you fella . but it baffles me why some people on this post say about the bad stafford when in your post it seems the dog did nothing except look like a big scary bull breed.ive kept bull breeds and running dogs for years and have had more squabbles in the running dogs than the bulls 10 fold, its not the dogs fault the owner was an asshole.ill get of my soap box now as ive chavs to hunt for dinner with the italian greyhound and the yorkie :clown: :clown:

As I said on Ann's post - the underclass are everywhere, the vermin should be exterminated. Feel sorry for the staffie types that are "owned" by "men" like this one.

Sounds like you handled the situation well though. Difficult for us ladies to do the same, but I would be prepared to have a go (purely in self defence of course) (w00t) (w00t)

It may well have been the confusion of the strange creature with the short thing that was not a hood :teehee:

Glad it all turned out ok, the world is full of fools :teehee:
