HI can any one offer any advice. i noticed yesterday my 18weekold pup blue HELLBOUND/WOOLDEN DOT. has puss filled sores under front&back legs not bothering him at all. i thought they might be due to him playing in water then in to long grass insect bits. but a couple of people at old hall seem to think it might be protein posion? thanks DAVE.

Dot know about protein poison....but all my dogs have had something similar in the past...

sort of puss filled spots on their bellies and undersides after running in long grass too..... they seem to go away as quickly as they came.

I used Lavender oil in water and just bathed the area.

It is probably the grass rash a lot of whippets get. Lavender oil (or lavender gel from Boots) should do the trick. Ali

Maya had loads of pus filled lumps and bumps on her tummy and under her armpits, they were harvest mite bites. From in the grass. I used lavender oil and aloe vera gel to soothe the skin and they go away again quite quickly.

As a puppy Gracie had a few small ones on her tummy. They didn't bother her at all, weren't nasty and I left well alone. They disappeared as quickly as they had arrived and she hasn't had anything since.
