Hi & welcome

I don't think you'll find many,if any Newfie owners on here.

Though i think they are a lovely looking breed,i couldn't cope with all the slobber :x (w00t)

Hi

Welcome to K9.

Would be good to see some photos of your Newfie. I think they are a lovely looking dog, but a wee bit too big for me. I have a Whippet and a Collie X.

hi thanks for your reply, ive put a piccy of my pup in hope you like it,having 6 kids isnt that much diiferent to having 2,except alot more washing and very large meals! its a bit easier now that 2 of them have left home,i have a 24 year old daughter, who has a little boy aged 2,and another 1 due in march,a 21 year old son, the only ones left at home are 2 daughters aged 15 and 19,and my other 2 sons who are 2 and 4.Where are you from? i am from hampshire.

hi thanks for your reply, contrary to popular belief they actually dont slobber much at all! i prepared myself for it but there isnt any,the only time you get slobber is when they have had a long walk. i have to say they are one of the most gentle dogs i have ever met. his only downfall is paddling in his water bowl all the time! i must fill it up 10 times a day

Hiya! he is so adorable! im from staffordshire and nope i dont have any kids but i have 2 hamster a guinea-pig and a whippet (well the whippet is my mums but :- " ... he MINE!) :p

Hello and welcome to k9

Tito looks  , we bump into a newfie on our early morning walk, he is called Vinny and seems to prefer walking with me as he has his head nose firmly on my treat pocket  He really likes my two girls but looks at them blown out   when they do their chase me catch me thing

We also have friends that have a young newfie called Yogi he has been very ill recently as he got meningitis :( but he on the mend now :) he reminds me of a big cuddly teddy bear :p

ohhhh hes so lovely , where are you in hampshire ? im in andover if your nere  we could do some doggy walks if you like ?

I have a Newfoundland. In fact not sure how I ended up on this forum. Had her scanned today and the vet cant confirm if she is pregnant, says probably not but could be! what a useless comment. Was searching to see if scans accurate or not and ended up here!!!

I really hope the scan in not accurate because I really, really want a baby from my Newfie! (Had Golden Retrievers for 3o years but will only ever have Newfies now, they are just the best!!!)
