Was supposed to get to them yesterday and today, howeve the computer has been running really strangely, so I am needing to do a full backup. As soon as that's complete and I've tried everything I can to clear out all the junk which might be making it run slowly (I'm so worried it's actually going to crash) then I'll be able to sort through the photos. I haven't even taken them off the camera yet as I didn't want to overload the computer or lose them so backing up has come first.

As soon as I've got them I will be emailing.

I just hope it's having a funny 5 mintues and will be fine after I backup and clean it up, but just in case.....

I am lucky in that I live with Billy Backup, I tell him not to worry if there's not a shirt ironed, I've always got it backed up (large basketful in spare bedroom). Hope everything is ok (I'm sure it is).

Hope your computer is OK Wendy! BACK IT ALL UP, QUICK!! I speak from bitter experience ... our PC crashed a couple of months ago or so and I lost loads of stuff. It was my own fault (not the crashing, but the losing) - I should have known better - I work in a job where I have to back up after every job finished. (w00t) (w00t)

Oh I know - been there and done that. Luckily the guy who built my computer managed to just grab my favourites seconds before the drive completely froze up a couple of years back. Since them I back up every couple of weeks. I just realised today though that I hadn't since 8th Feb - so 2 months (and tons of photos!). Backup is done, now clearing, scanning and defragging. It's already starting to run better (phew).

And just to show you how anal I am normally about backing up I have TWO external hard drives to back up onto! I alternate them so at any one time I have at least 2 backups on hand in case one of the external drives goes bang too - at least then I don't lose everything.

Hmmmmmmmmmmmmmmm, I am almost certain that you mentioned backing up, defragthingying etc to me a year or so ago. Ummmmmmmmmmmmm, should I be worrying?????? I didn't know I should do it THAT often! (w00t)
