I've just heard the sad news that Arnold Mortimer has died in Kent.

Arnold was WCRA chairman for a number of years and although he coursed his whippets more that he raced he did have runners that made Championship finals.

I have no more information.

If anyone wants to pay last respects, the funeral is Monday February 8 at 12 noon at Charing Crematorium. No flowers by request but donations can be made in his memory to the King George Fund for Sailors (Arnold was in the navy) or Whippet Rescue.
