I have gone through most of Royal Melbourne and Royal Sydney catalogues and entered all dogs to TWA. I have not been going through Brisbane, because instead I have access to Queensland stud books, so I have entered all dogs born there. So there are few left in catalogues that i would not already have.

If there was Flashing Coquette who won Brisbane Royal with Helen McGorien, I would expect her to be also shown in Sydney Royals. Not to mention she would be bred from?

OK I was wrong Flashing Coquette did exist, and was shown as puppy bitch at 1957 Sydney Royal, winning her class. :)

Anybody knows what colour she was?

Thanks so much Lida - my gosh I bet that kept you busy for a while!!!!

But....

OMG why didn't I look here first...? Bo Bengston's book tells me that it was "the brindle Ch Calpin Bartic Coquette won Best In Show at the Brisbane Royal in 1951." p163

So I can say now what the judge told me was misleading.

As promised, I looked through the old catalogues in our library and here is 1951 catalogue :)
