The Cornish Lurcher Championships has been run slightly differently for the last couple of years as it is now open to anyone.

There used to only be Showing and Racing Championships but now the Puppy Racing and Showing, Simulated Coursing, Hurdles, Triple Jump and all Extra Classes in the Showing are now Champions too!

i know it wasnt u said it, but she used ur name so i was just replying to wat was said not directly at u also a greyhound vet told us that a bitch is actually at there fastestin the middle of a season cus their hormones are so high, its only after the season they arnt at their best.. and i know she will come up against a faster dog at some stage.. maybe even one of these up and coming pups off ur's.. like there is always gona be better dog come along at some satge and i expect that but 4 now i put alot of effort into getting her ready for the races and money into the ferries etc and when she does good the least im intitled to is a bit of bragging while she is doing so well... and then when she is past it and ur pups are up and going u will be intitled to ur bragging :thumbsup: & i never said any particular dogs id beaten just wat races tori had won! so enough said :thumbsup:

hahaha @ karen and "thick dog " i always imagined that after one run at simmo the dog would head straight to cut the lure off next time round..? mine do it every time theyve ran at it once ther event is over cos they head straight to next turn.

next year my colt will be doing all events.. see its a percentage thing..the more you enter the more chance of winning things. there wasnt a dog on the straight that couldve caught colt but hell learn. hes 2 lengths infront after 10 yds every time !! truth is the boys fed up leading the pack up the track he has no one to growl at beside him next year marky matey watch out for him and his not 7/8s bloody greyhound like the rest of the straight racers either.

what would happen if i put him over a good greyhound bitch...

well id say that all the cornish would win would be the "PASTIE" championship !!

well cant remember much about saturday night i came out of tent 2 30 rest of em 5ish bloody scottish i should of known better and stormydog dont want to upset u but that dog of yours will never touch mine in anything but a 300 yard dash ask rodders what i said before you raced him everytime i been into dags for a long time well 40 years ive owned lurchers and know em but u got some nice specimen there mate but u got a bit of work now ask rodders i said it 3 times to her take care mark

Hey BIG KIRSTY'S DADDY BEAR has someone been eating your porridge . Anychance of telling us the breeding of the mother of the pups and is Mr. Playford getting one of the pups? Had another look for the pedigree of Tara's mother but still no joy...hope Graham was more help than me. I'm not surprised that that ticker of yours is giving you trouble with all the years at the races...it's no good for you. I could never relax until i was on my way home and at the start i couldn't eat until the racing was over. The time i went to Chatsworth i was as sick as a dog...couldn't eat, couldn't sleep. At any race standing at the start line i thought my heart was going to jump out of my chest...am i just messed up or do others feel the same pre-race nerves/excitement. One of the reassons i enjoyed any of the shows i went to this year was because there was no pressure on me. Hey John, take a look at Billy...that's the way your heading mate...sure look you've lost most of your hair already :clown:

Sorry Markbrick, hadn't realised that the Cornish Championships had been opened up as it's been a while since i bought the Countryman's Weekly. When Maddy was in her prime it was one of the Championships i would have liked to have had a crack at because there were some very good dogs racing there but was just too much travelling involved. Incidentally the mother of Miss Torri is also the dam of Steve Williams bitch Come on Sue...which i think won the under 23" straight racing two years on the trot in Cornwall. :cheers:

thought this topic was about ur new born pups??? next thing ur bla bla blaing about this and that dog u beat??? and mocking everyone elses dogs?? the fact is Miss Tori and Megan raced 6 times not 4! and won 3 each! Megan won at ballywalter, moira and down patrick?? then Miss Tori won at tandragee and raced megan twice at johns show and won both races on same day! so thats 3 each! and yeah u can say say she was 6 or 7 and was in season.. well i cud say the only reason Megan beat Miss Tori is because she took bad effects to getting the jab to stop her breaking but watever it doesnt matter!! also as far as i know megan never got '1' all-ireland title nor Tara! but Miss Tori has won it 3 years in a row!!! oh and b4 u say it let me guess it was only because use were banned??!!.. also use said use went to england 4 times and got to semi's and got robbed etc!! well i brought Miss Tori over to 5 events in england in one year, Midland GF 05, BWRA Bend Bonanza 06, 4 Nations Championships 05, Midland GF Championships 06 & Lurcherworld Championships 06! and guess what! heres the results, she won all 5!!! i dont remember Megan or any off ur dogs winning that many races over in England!!! so u can leave 'Miss Tori' out off this discussion thanx.. she has nothing more to prove!! :thumbsup:
