I am sooooooooo mad just came home to find Jilly has chewed my brand new shoes that I bought yesterday to go to a wedding on Saturday.

and before anyone says I shouldn't have left them lying about she pinched them out of the wardrobe (w00t) Last week it was my mobile phone that got the ariel chewed to pieces lucky I could get a new ariel for it and it still works but has a few designer teeth marks on it. :- "

Anyone have any ideas how to stop her. When I catch her I tell her she's a bad girl in a loud angry tone several times and she knows shes done wrong.

She is 11 months old and had stopped chewing for a while but it seems to have started again. :sweating:

They both have loads of chews and toys to chew on but they must not be as good as mummys nice things

Wonder why its always my stuff and never Malcs

I did like these shoes :( never even got to wear them once :(

You beat me to it, thou I was going to say " Get a lock". Daisy has got better thou she will still chew the odd thing. Fortunately only my cheap flip-flops I bought for the garden!

why do they never chew anything you hate or want to get rid of?by the way she doesnt know what shes done!folk think dogs look guilty when they tell them off and they say she knows shes done wrong.they dont, they just know youre cross with them so they look guilty to us when to them theyre just trying to keep a low profile till the storms blown over! :D and it couldnt possibly be the gorgeous jakey whos done it. :- " its that naughty whippy!

Aw Kris now you've made me feel guilty for shouting at her  but the question is if she doesn't know shes doing wrong how come she never does it when we are around

By the way did you hear about Jakeys rosette

i had one dog out of five who was a chewer, she always doen it when no-one was around. Your dog might be just looking for attention as we thought ours was as she was sort of bad done to before we got her, but generally dogs noramally do those types of things for attention?

I am pleased to say that she has now grown out of it, the settee couldnt take much more, we finally can renew it.

Mmmmmmmmmm well Orestes, we have been making quite a fuss of Jakeys rosette maybe she's feeling a bit jealous  Oh heck its all my fault (w00t) (w00t)

Come to think of it she was chasing Jakey when he had his rosette on and chewing the ribbons :p

what has little jakey done to get that lovely rosette? :D apart from being his usual gorgeous self that is! i think the reason a lot of dogs chew when we arent there is cos theyre bored or it could be separation anxiety.of course it could also be that they know theyre in for a rollockin if they do it when you are there so they wait till youre out! (w00t) maybe theyre like goldfish who only have a 3 second memory. so each time they do it and get told off when you come home, the next time theyre alone they forget theyre gonna get told off until you walk through the door then the tail goes down and they think oh no,im gonna get a telling off now! does that make any sense?

That does make sense!! lol

I guess it doesnt matter what our dogs do wrong...if we give them into trouble...we feel guilty as they look at you with there adorable eyes so we end up giving them a treat or something...just cant win...but i will say i wouldnt have it any other way. lol ;)

Totally agree with you Orestes  .... and Kris did I hear you asking what Jakey did to win his rosette :- " brag brag He won the terrier race at the spwrca fun day if you look in the pedigree racing section you can read all about it.

Jilly had a run as well and they both done really well considering what little experiance they've had

Also we got to meet Buffyrannochs Buffy and Toby
