When I was a away last week my 13yr old son decided to make some chocolate muffins (he's after something) he also did the washing up (definitely after something!! :sweating: )
He is away this week at summer camp which leaves me and my 7yr old (Hyam) at home. We decided to have a go at his brothers Chocolate Muffin Recipe. To Hyam's delight, they came out really well, so thought we'd share the recipe..it's a great one for younger Kids at home at the mo
The important bit
Yep, they look done...and smell great...'can I have one now?'.. 'Want that one..'
Ohh ...still a bit hot !!
Approved  'Can I have another one?'
Here's the recipe for the bored Children.......
Preparation time less than 30 mins
Ingredients
55g/2oz butter, softened
85g/3oz brown sugar
1 egg, beaten
110g/4oz plain flour, sifted
85ml/3fl oz whole milk
2 tsp baking powder
1 tbsp cocoa powder, sifted
Method
1. Preheat oven to 250C/500F/Gas 9.
2. Place the butter, sugar, egg and flour in a food processor and blend.
3. Add the milk, baking powder and cocoa and blend.
4. Grease a muffin tin before spooning the muffin mix into six of its cases.
5. Place the muffins in the oven and bake for 12 minutes, or until risen and cooked through.
6. Remove the muffins from the oven and leave to cool before lifting the muffins out of the tin.
Oh, I doubled the quantity of course.. 6 are no use
