Hi all,

Rusty has cracked skin on his paws, nothing that worries him, us or our vet, but it was recommended a balm might be useful. Does anyone have any recommendations please? I'd be looking for something 100% natural and specific for dogs.

Thanks! :)

This is the one I've heard people recommending in the past.

Thanks @JoanneF, will check it out. Tried looking for a store on their website, there seems to be only three in the UK. Amazon will obviously deliver it but we're off in the camper tomorrow morning

I bought some “Burt’s Bee Balm” from Boot’s. Forgive the alliteration. Not sure whether it’ll help your situation. I use it to soften Mabel’s pads before I remove her corns. Sorry, I’ve just re-read your message. It’s not ‘specific for dogs’. Mea culpa.

Sorry for the delay in replying, been away in the camper, very intermittent phone signal. Bought the Musher's Secret balm, first applied last night, seems to be good. Applied sparingly, the whiteness of worn areas on the pads disappears. Looks like it might be oily once on the pads, but isn't. Thanks both for the pointers :)

I use mushers - August doesn’t like her paw pads being touched but treats in the other hands and it is applied in a few seconds 😀

Hi there, you could try Ancol Little Stinkers Unscented Paw & Nose Balm. It's a natural product made in the UK.
