I am sure this topic has been posted numerous times before so please delete if neccessary, but am i am only just learning to navigate my way round this forum!!

Nothing seems to stop my dog from barking!! Help!

When he is indoors only, he only barks when playing outside.

Nomally at any little noise or when he sees any other animal through the windows.... He gets his mohican up and goes mental. Nothing will distract him.

In bed he will fly out and up in the middle of the night at the slightest noise.

what do you do when he barks? you reaction is important to detail as it will affect his further behaviour,

eg do you shout at him to be quiet, call him back, offer food reward or distraction etc etc????

I have tried different things...

I was told not to shout as apparently he will think i am joining in with the barking/noisemaking.

I thought he did it cos he was bored but even mid-game he will go off to bark!

You can bribe him with treats but i dont want him to think i am rewarding him for barking....Tried calling his name or getting his attention.... depending on what he is barking at it sometimes works but he will then go back and bark again!

I will look at that link, thanks thought criminal.
