What terrible news poor Barney, poor you. Its bad enough initial break but then another know how your feeling as Rch Dambuster broke a leg had it pinned and was doin brill on vets advise had pin removed within the hour his leg had gone again - gutted doesnt even go halfway to how you must be feeling. :(

Can't imagine what your all going through :( Poor Barney after making so much progress too.

I hope the little chap gets better soon, good on you & Steve for persevering, the other options would be heartbreaking, especially with such a fine young dog.

Sending you lots & lots of luck. :luck: :luck: :luck:

Thanks to you all on here and the phone for your best wishes and support which at a time like this are really appreciated by us as a family---

Just been on the phone to Keith our Vet and his report was Barney is up and back on his legs with new scaffolding up and is hungry and wanting to get home to his bed--8weeks now then another x-ray--- he said that this is not uncommon in small breeds of any animal due to the poor blood supply to the area in front legs --rear legs are different --

i am sure that Barney will make a full recovery but if he don't we have done our best for him ----

there has been bucket load's of tears over this weekend ---saved them all for hydro-therapy tank just about fill it--lol

Steve/Karen Harry

Heart is already Knackered ---its legs thats the trouble lol--

Joking aside they are just like kids ---but do you ever give up on them --no....and many a time you feel like doing don't you--

The difference is that a child can survive at 17/20 on its own if need be --but a dog barely two year old needs to get everything from its owner --that is what we have given him--the best of everything possible ---we can/ hopeful he will recover---

N.H.S. puts it all in perspective and thats often slated if folk had to pay for medical treatment euthanasia would definitely be voted in as a option i am sure ----

if you cant look after them as they need to be looked after don't have them is my opinion---

thanks again to all those who have rung also all those who have expressed their good wishes / concerns on here--

its a long long road -- as Karen said we are changing his name to LUCKY  :p :luck: :luck:

Steve

That just about sums this year up David but when you hit rock bottom there is only one way and thats up ----hope i don't have to climb to fast LOL !---many a man in the GRAVEYARD wishing he could have our troubles -----

when you look at the news on the telly and see all those poor kids /families/and animals --that have been killed in other parts of the world you have no reason to feel down in the dumps ---how ever bad it gets in this country its now't compared with their troubles is it ?

Any way LUCKY is looking much more like himself this morning ---lol

steve
