Not JAX's style - she's had many over the years and not kept any

This is what is in OurDogs.

May I start by expressing my sincere gratitude to the officers and committee of the Bath Championship Show for giving me the opportunity to fulfill a long time ambition and to those exhibitors who gave me a credible entry of 194 dogs making 212 entries. But now I want to get something off my chest which has been hanging over me for a long time, there are rules laid down by our governing body to be adhered to in every aspect of our ‘hobby’, something that to date I have enjoyed for 40 years but there is no rule o stop judges receiving distasteful and discriminating letters. Two weeks prior to me judging Bath I received such venomous correspondence it shook me to the core with only one day prior to leaving for Bath, furthermore literature arrived. There is nothing our Kennel Club can do about this so we as judges are so vulnerable, any body of a weaker nature may have buckled under the pressure, myself being made of grittier stuff carried all this baggage into my ring! But all was vindicated when my BOB topped the Group, to say I had the biggest grin on the show field was an understatement. At this point all the knock backs, politics and those hell bent on stopping me meant nothing any more, finally just to prove not all is bad, I would like to say a big thank you to all those who have sent messages, e-mails and cards of congratulations, it certainly has made the roller coats ride worthwhile! Now to the job in hand, overall I felt that the quality in most classes were excellent with some good exhibits having to go cardless. As usual bitches holding the upper hand, some exhibitors may have been disappointed but the gap between Opens Shows and Championship Shows is a very wide margin indeed. The wind factor did not help at times playing havoc with some exhibits on the table making then turn themselves into peculiar shapes, but then when on the floor and moving they returned back to normality! I was surprise to fine a lot of short tails, but not to surprised to find poor front movement. Loose elbows and flicking pasterns, not a pretty sight in some cases. Both dogs and bitches were guilty of this young and old, its not all dab though I felt most of my class winners were worthy and my main winners deserved their award.

Thanks for that Dawn , What a shame to spoil his first appointment doing our breed . Lets hope :luck: they werent whippet exhibitors but just `general saddos ` who maybe, for some reason dont like Martin .

I must admit I dont think I know of any anyone else who have received `nasty` letters/calls but one or two who have had `help in choosing` who should win ;)
