Q: How many group members does it take to change light bulb ?
1 to change the light bulb and to post that the light bulb has been changed.
14 to share similar experiences of changing light bulbs and how the light bulb could have been changed differently.
7 to caution about the dangers of changing light bulbs.
6 to argue over whether it's 'lightbulb' or 'light bulb'.
Another 6 to condemn those 6 as stupid.
22 to tell THOSE 6 to stop being jerks.
5 industry professionals to inform the group that the proper term is 'lamp'.
15 know-it-alls who claim they were in the industry, and that 'light bulb' is perfectly correct.
49 to post memes and gifs (several are of Michael Jackson eating popcorn with the words added, “I’m just here for the comments.”)
19 to post that this page is not about light bulbs and to please take this discussion to a light bulb page.
11 to defend the posting to this page saying that we all use light bulbs and therefore the posts are relevant here.
24 to discuss the merits of LED/swirly fluorescent light bulbs
44 to claim LED and fluorescent bulbs will kill you.
12 to post F.
8 to ask what F means.
7 to post 'Following' but there's 3 dots at the top right that means you don't have to.
15 to say "can't share"
2 to reply "can't share from a closed group"
36 People to post pics of their own light bulbs.
15 People to post "I can't see the image" and use their own light bulbs.
6 to report the post or PM an admin because they think someone violated rules.
4 to say "Didn't we go through this already a short time ago?".
13 to say "Do a search on light bulbs before posting questions about light bulbs".
5 mods to ban the light bulb posters who took it all too seriously.
1 late arrival to comment on the original post 6 months later and start it all over again.
20 to give up on the forum and take their dogs for a walk instead.
And then somebody announces they are leaving the group over the light bulb post, and someone replies back that this isn't an airport so you don't need to announce your departure.

😁Phew, I did actually read all that!😂
This is the only forum I do and I don't partake in any other social media for exactly everything said above, I don't know how people find the time or inclination tbh!!😝
Hat's off to admin/moderators everywhere I say!🥳

Just a few adds;

1 newbie to come in all guns blazing to tell everyone else they're wrong, because - reasons
10 members to tell the newbie they're wrong
1 newbie (the same one) to Report a particular member of the 10 for "bullying" (bonus points if the target is a Moderator; 2 bonus points to the Moderator if they're the ones that come across the Report, 3 more bonus points to the Moderator if they were expecting the Report about themselves)
5 longstanding members to Report the newbie for being Rude.
10 members to decide the thread should be closed,
5 moderators to discuss whether the thread has outlived its usefulness and discuss whether the thread should be closed.
1 Newbie (a different one) to sign up just to post on the thread flogging their new light bulb business.
10 longstanding members to Report the post as Spam.
1 demented moderator to wish the 🤬 thread would fall off a cliff and disappear into the abyss.

And I'm sure I've still missed a few. 🤪

(Edit; Wrong "they're/their/there")

One mod to send an identical PM to two members having a huge spat about whether one should have revealed dthe results of a sporting event the other hadn't watched yet, only to get a blistering PM from both of them to complain the mod was favouring the other.

Six mods to analyse a rude joke and discuss whether it is too rude for a family-friendly forum, while two members complain that they will leave the forum if it's not removed.

One mod to reset the censor filter after another mod has got so carried away that no one can mention Scunthorpe, bitches, pricks from thorns or needles, fuchsia...

Eight mods to discuss whether a ninth mod using the term 'biologically accommodating female' is acceptable or not.

One mod to simply delete the word 'biologically'.

“You’re a better man than I am, Gunga Din”. This is an accolade to the sterling work put into the Forum by JoanneF and JudyN and requires no fusillades from woke minded individuals who have much time on their hands.

2 members to get involved in a heated dispute and report each other for being mean, so that the first mod online gets hit with 10 reports in the queue by the same members.
1 moderator wishing they could reach through the screen and bang a few heads together.
2 more moderators to remind the first one that it would count as assault and bring the forum into disrepute.
