Well I would say Gloucester :thumbsup: But then that's my home club, so I would :teehee:

We race at Dowty Sports and Social Club, Down Hatherley Lane, Staverton, Nr Gloucester. We race some Sundays during the summer depending on whether there is an open on in another part of the country. The open season finishes at the beginning of October, and we race weekly until the end of November. We haver a winter break, and start back at the end of January or beginning of February and race weekly until the opens start usually in April. Most of us are attending less opens this year, so there will be more racing over the summer than usual.

If you look under the Gloucester Pedigree Whippet Racing Club on this forum, you will see notices left if we are racing that weekend. Shame you missed this weekend, as we had the National Championships at our ground. We do have our clubs open in 2 weeks, so if you fancy watching, you would be very welcome. You might even get to give your whippet a go, but it can't be guaranteed when we have an open, as there are lots of races to get through, as people have travelled from all parts of the country to compete. If we can though, we will.

Hi im also from the west mids,there is also a whippet racing club at cotheridge,nr worcester.which we race very sunday.tel phone Ray jones on 01432 357353...but both gloucester and worcester are very friendly clubs and you get alot of help..good luck :thumbsup:
