Looking to get my dogs into racing soon and looking for some advice on where to start?

I feed Redmills tracker and sometimes change for Eukanuba, My dog walk about 1 mile a day and run through woods for about another 1 mile. (w00t)

If you ask 50 people you will get 50 different replies :teehee:

Mine walk nowhere, because I can walk nowhere! 30 -60 mins on a treadmill at 5kph seems ok for Frankie around 3-5 times a week depending on whether or not he has raced or will be soon.

When I started in racing 20 odd years ago I used to feed Wafcol, after a few years however I got worried that it was too protein intensive, leading to hair loss which I didn't like. I then changed to a lower protein complete meal like Wellbeloved or Chudleys. Years later and I now feed Butchers Tripe with a mixer - it stinks but they love it - and a complete meal is always down for ad lib feeding.

The ad lib feeding has done ok with Lisa and Frankie but I now have a puppy who thinks he is a one-dog Hoover and once his weight reaches critical mass I might have to re-think the ad lib bit :)

cant advice that much as i only go racing now and again , but i enjoy coursing so do that more than the racing

i feed my whippet redmills tracker with meat/raw(if and when i can get raw) or just the racer..she get fed twice aday, but never ad lib, she'l be a balloon otherwise

as for eexercise, it varies, as i have a young family and juggling work and school runs,my whippy have a mixture of free running, road walking or even run beside the bike, but she loves to mooch around in fields and of course chasing the tennis ball or anything that moves
