hi all

i thought id put a post up about mi dogs

iv got a couple of workin lurchers

a 3/4whippet X 1/4 airedale

and whippet X grey

for me the airedale X is my 4x4

and the grey X is mi ferrari

the airedale X has one one of the best noses on a dog i seen

and backed up with bags of staminar she will hunt on any terrain

but she has no great speed but if the hunt comes down to endurance

or playin hide and seek then she has the uper hand

i would say that she has to much nose to be used on the lamp effectively

and is best used dureing the day to hunt up on her own

the grey X is a out and out speed murchant and has shown great determination and loves the work but she is only young yet and no where near her full pottenial

she is a single minded animal, very confident but shows no intrest in getting in and trying to flush them out....well why would she the other one does it..lol

she can be very disobedent at times esspecialy when it comes to comeing back to be put on the lead

she will stand about 10 foot off and looks at me with cheeky look that she knows shes being bad but she'll get over it...lol

shes got a cheeky attitude but that suits me

the airedale X is a very inteligent little beasty

but can be a bit unstaible at times when she gets stressed

but hey dont we all

i serpose it may be down to the fact that she was a rescue

and im not quite sure what happend to her before i got her

Hi Swamper,

I like the look of your whippet/Greyhound. We're going to pick out our new one this week,(Same breeding) as we've just lost our Jasper.

By the way, are you wearing an NBC suit, I'd heard it was rough up north but not that bad,

PS: I'm ex RAF and used to wear the trousers for ferreting.
