hi all,

i want to breed my old lurcher bitch now 7 to a top class non ped she is breaking down now as we speak,

she was top draw stuff in her day and the pups will be spoken for before they hit the bed,

but who has the best non ped now at stud the fastest of the fastest, She is a 22 inch rough coated lurcher and by god she was and still is good

IN MY OPINION YOU COULDN'T DO ANY BETTER THAN "JUST FRIENDS" OR HIS SON, "FAT BOY SLIM"! THEY ARE BOTH BRILLIANT DOGS AND THE FORMER HAS THROWN, CONSISTENTLY TO MANY DIFFERENT BITCHES. OTHERS MAY DISAGREE AND WILL SOON LET YOU KNOW OF THEIR PREFERENCE! GOOD LUCK! :luck:

where is he and any other replys where the dogs based,

thanks for your replys

 HE MAY BE TOO FAR FOR YOU TO USE. HE IS IN SWADLINCOTE IN THE MIDLANDS. SUCH A SHAME, 'COS I'M SURE IF YOU LOOK AT THE RESULTS FOR ALL THE BIG EVENTS IN NON-PED RACING, YOU WOULD SEE HOW WELL HIS OFFSPRING PERFORM, AT ALL DIFFERENT WEIGHTS.

In my opinion you wont go far wrong with using North 2 South. Fantastic all round dog, pace to burn, beating 20lbs dogs and bitches while running of 30lb. Producing cracking pups in the two litters he has produced, a shame he is not used more often. If i kept bitches he would be the first stud dog i would use. Another hoping to start his stud carreer is Southern Spark, again fantastic pace, until injury cut short his racing carear. Just a couple of alternative dogs that are up for stud, best of luck with your bitch

I agree with north to south at different stud dog but just friends is hit target don't miss many and he keeps throwing the champions so until dog come long to match him people will keep using him but best luck who ever you pick

hellbound :) his off spring are very fast sure you will of heard of him  you can look up his stud record on here

totally agree with you  here's a pic of him

What are you hoping to achieve by lining to a non ped? What existing faults does your bitch have, what attributes and what will be the pups future purpose for all these owners who are waiting?

Simply going to the best producing stud does not produce the best pups, especially when were looking at merging 2 breeds whose attributes could simply be poles apart.

Like milly said there are probably perfectly adequate studs already available on your doorstep but like I said, it depends on what your hoping to achieve.

Within each pup produced in any lining 50% of your dams genes are lost. Which 50% is retained varies between each pup. I would hope knowing this would explain exactly why you need specific requirements, if not for yourself then at least for those eagerly awaiting a pup cos no matter how wonderful your dam is, they're only buying half of her and whether that half is her best bits or her worst ones can be entirely pot luck.

If and when you find the right non-ped stud dog, will you be working or lurcher racing the pup you keep back?
