I'm just wondering what the best thing to help a cut pad heal faster is?

Mysti was out in the back garden while I've been in hospital, and she's managed to take what looks like the top layer off of one of her hind pads. It's healing up, and not bleeding anymore, but is there anything I can do to help it heal quicker, as she's missing out on walkies, as she's limping due to the pain.

I thinki it was Alfyn that uses Lavender oil ??? but someone else may know of other things to use. I just wash my dogs feet in salty water to help the healing process. Vaseline could be used but only in the house - grime and dirt would stick to it outside.

Hi Andrea-not too sure if this will help, but a racer friend of mine gave me a bottle of Cut & heal- Brill stuff for healing cuts / burns ect.Always handy to have in medicine box.

Caz x

lavender oil :) )Great to use as well :)

The most difficult thing is to kep the dirt out of the cut. I use small (baby) sock.

Where can you get this cut and heal from? It sounds like it's a useful thing to have handy.

Cut feet i always use potassium pomanganate from the chemist just a few crystals with a bit of water and soak the foot in it a few times a day, dries cut's out very fast!! It's also handy for dogs with soft pads just to harden the pads up :D

Yeah, I looked online but can't find it but I'm pretty sure I seen it in there, mind you, might be best using Northolm supplies as Robinsons can be a little steep with prices.
