just a wee update on eddie he has spent the night in the vets . had him and fern for a walk on the beech lastnight when he was attacked by 2 staffies that where out off control as one pinned eddie down the other started on fern who had gone to eddies aid i managed to get the one off eddie who then took off for home and was hit by a car out side my house i had left fern fending for her self as i went to help eddie who was out cold on the pavment after what seemed like ages he started to come around so i got him straight to the vets who tooke him straight in for obsevation and xrays luckly there is no broken bones bet he has took all the nails of his back feet and cant walk on them and is feeling very sorry for himself also fern had to have several stiches on 4 bad wounds on her neck and face

OMG hope they r both ok after their terrible ordeal? glad theres no broken bones. it makes me mad when people have their dogs off the leads which r obviosuly in this case not @ all trained.

best of luck to the 2 of them 4 a full recovery. :luck: :luck:

cheers he should be fine in a couple off weeks he must have a hard head you should have seen the dent in the car im glad he is nearly 40lb the bulk helped the impact. as for the staffies the both had to visit the vets one is in a bad way as fern gave it a good going over also had the police around as i went to the owners door and give him and his dad the same , they have charged me with it

These out of control dogs are such a menace. I hope Eddie and Fern make a full and speedy recovery.

It's a blessing that Eddie has grown into such a big strong dog with the ability to handle himself well despite only being 8 months old and has such a great mate as Fern, willing to dive in to protect him despite getting badly bitten herself.

Paws crossed that he starts to feel better soon. No doubt you're desperately trying to keep him quiet and calm (w00t) .

he is still in shock he has not moved off the bed allday he is snuggled up to fern who is dripping blood all over the bed she has 2 tubes hanging out the wounds on her neck to drain the fluid out

hope there both ok dave  staffy owners need to be more responsible i know what they would get and it would be more than a vets bill :luck:

it is getting quite bad around here now all the neds seem to have them and they let them run free and have no control over them at least these 2 will not be running about for a while according to the police its not the first time they have done it
