its with a heavy heavy heart that im here to let everyone know that this morning i decided enough is enough. i had the vet who had been dealing with storm come out to help him over the finish-line. the hardest descision ive ever made .

He was due more scans today and an mri brain scan but to me exploratory tests werent bringing him back from where hes been the last week.

i collected him last night from the vet and in a couple of days hed failed and looked like he was losing his hard fought battle, he wasnt waggy and stuck upagainst me like hed usually do, instead i got "the look" from him that id been waiting for. id said for a year that when he gives me that look ill know were at the end of our journey together. so this morning ive cried till i got the courage to fone the vet. mr morrow at gortlands vet thinks that although the cancer wasnt apparent in tumour form it had reached his brain stem.

so at 1100am johnny and partner called to my house. 1108 i held my warrior till his big heart stopped.

Storm when you chose me at 8 weeks old i was privileged and its been an honour to have you for 8 years. part of me has went with you and someday i hope you give me it back.

thanks to my mate ian for being here when i needed you.

OH BLOODY HELL JOHN. :(

SOOOO SAD TO HEAR THIS, ALL MY THOUGHTS ARE WITH YOU.

I KNOW STORM MEANT THE WHOLE WORLD TO YOU, AND HOW MUCH OF AN IMPACT HE HAD ON YOUR LIFE.

YOU DID THE BEST YOU POSSIBLY COULD FOR HIM, AND A HELL OF A LOT MORE THAN MOST DOG OWNERS WOULD HAVE. YOU ARE A REAL CREDIT TO YOUR DOGS AND YOUR SUCCESS WITH BOTH STORM AND COLT PROVES THAT. WHAT A HELL OF A LIFE YOU GAVE HIM - WHAT MORE COULD A DOG HAVE WANTED.

CHIN UP :huggles:

So very sorry John :( But it sounds like it was definitely the right thing to do, you can only do so much to have help him in his fight and the most important thing is that he died with dignity in your arms :huggles: What a fighter he was.

Oh John, I am so very sorry to hear this sad news. No one could have fought harder for him and loved him more than you did, and still do for that matter. As you have already said, you KNOW when the time is right because they tell you with the LOOK. He is still with you in your heart and in spirit. Not even death can break the special bond you have. God Bless Storm and rest in peace :huggles: and for you John I hope that the pain and grief you are feeling will soon ease :huggles:
