Hi all,

This might be me panicing over nothing but I want to make sure, Sunday just gone hubby, myself and 2 of my kids went to the local market, my eldest 2 wanted to stay home, I told them to leave the back door open for the dogs,

they went to play on the computer up-stairs, leaving the dogs in the kitchen with the run of the garden, we got home about 2 hours later and I noticed a large lump on top of Binx's head right in-between his ears, it's not sore when I touch it and feels really hard like bone,

theres NOTHING in my garden or kitchen to do this, the only other reason I can think of is either Ashley (naughty next door boy) or the 3 devil kids from my other neighbour has plonked him one with something  , while we were out, my other 2 kids who stayed didn't hear anything (they had loud music on),

the lump hasn't gone down and is very visable, he's still his bouncy, lively self, eating like a horse, but I did notice that when I go to pick him up now he pee's everywhere  do you think this could be something more serious e.g tumour?

If I find out he has been hit with something there's going to be a riot, I'll go balistic!!

if the lump is still there by Thursday I wil be taking him to the vets  really really worried, any advise plz!!!

Sorry tina no advice just hope all is well with Binx, and you get it sorted

Aawwww poor binx, I think I would take him to the vet sooner rather than later. Sounds like neiaboughers from hell

No advice,,just hope the wee lad is ok. If he is still bouncing around and eating well,,it cant be bothering him much. ILKC will along soon,,so good advice from her :) All the best :huggles:

If it is still the same size, I think I would pop along to the vet. At least that will put your mind at rest. Good luck, let us know how he gets on. :luck: :huggles: :luck:

The vets around here are stupid opening hours, and unfortunatley I'm in work until Thursday, I have thought about this alot and as he's still his cheerful self, and is still running around like a loony on our walks in the evening,

so I thought I'd wait until I was off work, if however his mood or anything changes I'll be straight down to the vets!

Edit to say I'll have to check back on the advise later as I'm off to work now, Hubby will be here, but he doesn't have a clue with the computer!!

Hi Tina,

Definatly sounds like he's had a bump to the head (either accidently or ?) how big is the lump? Whippets being whippets he could of easyly run into something while they (the dogs) were playing ie: run into the door ect?.

is there any bruising (wet the area and bruising will show up better through his fur) give me a ring when you get 5 mins and we can descuss it more.

Mark just tried to ring you, I have done as you said and wet the area but can't notice any brusing, I find it hard that he's knocked him self as the lump is right on the top of his head, surely if he had banged himself it would be in the front, I'll try and get a picture of his head for you now!

Hope its nothing too serious - Get well soon Binx  :huggles:

Thanks Janimal  just got off the phone with Mark he said it deffo looks like a bump (weather done it himself or someone has done it) if I find out who it was, they better watch out!! grrrr

God I bet its thos neighbours of yours   - it wouldnt be so bad if you definitely knew it was an accident but........... if its them - Id want to kill them

Janimal I will kill them, a woman scorned and all that!!

trouble is I don't know which ones did it!!  but I'll find out thats for sure and god help them when I do!!

The bump looks very like one my Rona had in the same place last year, after playing wild games with her pals in the garden, it went down OK in a week or two, and she was none the worse for it. I do give arnica for bruising and I think it helps, one tablet every hour for 6 hours and then twice a day.

I hope Binx is soon back to normal
