Due to restrictions on space I have to keep my dog and bitch, who normaly sleep in the same crate, in separate crates in the same room when the bitch is in season. When the howling is at its worst I find that a few drops of rescue remedy in his drinking water help calm the dog.

Glad it turned out ok Tina, sorry Binx is feeling rough though, :huggles: hope he recovers quickly :luck: :luck: :luck:

Glad to hear that Binxs op went well. Get well soon Binx

Binx arrived home yesterday at 7pm, (supposed to be 3pm) he had a tough time  :(
he's very sore and feeling sorry for him self, I'm also upset that I had to put him through this, if he was born with his balls in the right place this wouldn't have happened, and I wouldn't have had to put him through the pain and suffering that he's feeling now! (my personnel opinion)

my vet said that the cords that attach to his balls were the shortest he's ever seen and there was NEVER a chance of them ''dropping'' my vet said he would goto court to testifiy that Binx was born with abnormally short cords that's how confident he is about this  :(

I'm not sure where you are coming from here Tina. With the best will in the world, we all strive to breed healthy 'normal' dogs (well, hopefully, we do I know I try my best to do so) but sometimes it just doesn't go right. You are dealing with nature and, if nature dictates that that puppy has retained testicles or that one has sticky up ears, then unfortunately that is the way it is. Cryptorchidism is one of the hardest problems to breed out and very common in both pedigree and mongrel dogs alike!

But I am glad Binx is back from his op, he will soon be back to normal!!

Totally agree with you there Dessie, it's just such a shame this sort of thing happens, it's the poor dog that suffers in the end :(

Binx is still calmer than he was before though, which has settled him and me down a lot, we were both feeling a bit stressed out, and he's eating normally now aswell, which is a great weight off my shoulders, I was really stressing about that!

we've had nice quiet nights too, just a few whines through the day but nothing like he was behaving before (thank goodness :D ) although he's still sore, he's getting better each day

Thanks for all the well wishes
