Les Windle took a sip of Johnny Walkers famous Black,

It only took a moment to bring that old feeling back.

In a jiffy his pen was out and Linda looked a little worried,

As Les got the urge to write again, and off the man scurried.

Down to the study with the bottle and his pen in hand,

as though posessed he scribbled down the finest in the land.

Of rhyme and verse there were none better to make a person smile,

To think of all these jolly words must surely take a while.

But even so it's clear to see the jovial intent,

Until the Whisky has run dry and all the impulse spent.

And I'm still sober .
