On my way back from the beach today a staffy was loose on the road i

live on........i've never seen him before..........i had Zana and my friend

had Sada and Kaya, all on leads.

He made a bee line for Zan i picked her up and held her while kicking

out at him. My friend got the other two girls behind her and i got in front

of her still holding Zan. He tried to get round the side of me but got my

foot in his side.....i only had bloody flip flops on though

Luckily we were near a garden so we went in and shut the gate. He went

into the garden next door to see if he could get through and i leaned over

and shut him in that one.

I took the girls home and settled them, they've never been snarled at like

that and their poor hearts were pounding. Then i went back out, not really

knowing what i was going to do. But it didn't matter because his ginger

arse was then trotting up the road, so i couldnt do anything.

Im on a mission tomorrow at the shop....to find out who's he is

thank god none of your girls got hurt....or you and your friend :sweating:

i die a death when i see a loose dog and no owner...it makes your heart sink

so glad the girls where unharmed :sweating: we had one run up to us when all mine was on the leads but poor millie got bitten :(

good luck in finding the owner.

glad you're all ok Ann...hop you suss out where he belongs

Irresponsible owner again - wonder if they knew he was out and about on his own

Whichever way, they should be aware of where their dog is!!!!!

Totally understand how you felt, we turned a corner of a field with our two whippets two weeks ago and bumped into a man with a, you guessed it, little female staffie, who instantly took a dislike to our 11 month old, Kadie. They both took off, Kadie in fright and this dog snarling an inch from her backside and keeping up quite well, I think with sheer determination to kill her. They disappeared around the corner and worried for her safety I turned to the owner and said, I hope she's playing, to which the man replied, I hope so too. The worried look on his face made my stomach lurch, I think because I realised he had no control over her and had her off lead because it was quite late in the evening and he didn't expect to meet us. Fortunately, Kadie came running back and the gap had widened which gave OH the chance to pick Kadie up and the owner a chance to lunge at his dog as she stopped at Bob's feet knakered but still growling!

poor you - this is my worst nightmare as you never know whether to pick them up or to try and get your dog behind you or let your dog off! I ALWAYS wear my boots when walking him even in the summer just in case I have to defend him against a dog that went to attack him as I would have no hesitation in doing so.

I also bumped into a staffie one day that was loose in the street and it was making a beeline for us so I picked him up and ran into a garage and turned around to see several mechanics giving me very strange looks but I didn't care :D
