I know of two really lovely Whippy babes for sale if anyone has any equiries, Fawns or soft brindles, No not mine but come highly reccomended :D Hants.

PM me for Tel number if you are interested.

A soft brindle is blue fawn or cream fawn. The colours are soft and muted and the stripes are less defined and usually grey not black. unlike the red and conker brindles were the stripes are black and sharper. It is very difficult to explain just what colour some brindles are so at least I can devide them in to two groups. :)

Dessie knows really

I guess we will have a huge conflab now about brindles being defined by the base coat colour or the stripe colour   :teehee:

Conker brindle that sounds nice, what brindle would you say mine are, I think Sienna is a red brindle, but callie is more browny black than red then there's Spry would she be a fawn brindle or a soft brindle?

Tell me what you think

Stripey brown with white bits then :p

I just put brindle/white on my papers too Mark because they change colour some as they grow anyway.

Lesley your dogs are a beautiful mahogany brindle, I love that colour

I only register them as whatever they basically are, brindle/white trim or brindle particolour because, as Karen and Mark say they do change colour so it is hard to be definitive. But when I am describing a dog to someone I would then qualify what sort of brindle I think it is, ie. blue brindle, black brindle, mucky brindle (eh Millie!!!) etc. I would call Callie and Sienna mahogany brindles as well Lesley!!

As you only get stripes that are blue or black, I use the base colour to define what sort of brindle they are (or by how intense the striping is). For instance, when you look at my Django his base colour is actually a pale silver fawn but his striping is so heavy that you have to describe him as a black brindle.
