I see Blackpool is this week end. Many entered?

ill be going just for the shopping, doesnt look like the weather is going to be too good though which is a shame

Not going, missed the closing date. Trouble with Blackpool is it's either so hot it burns or so cold it still burns. Maybe I'm just getting old!

I would have entered but I knew this weekend some of my puppies would be going .

And I was right as Lillee and Spike are going on sat

I had the wrong number for Spike`s new mum and Dad , thats why i couldnt get hold of them , what am I like !! :cheers:

Trouble is the show is not actually IN Blackpool any more.

It used to be in Stanley Park (near the Zoo) and when chucked out you could go down onto the front.

Richard used to wander along the Golden Mile keeping a tight hold on his little stick of Blackpool rock :wacko:

I can't stand rock :x , now some lovely chips paid for by Dessie or Millie........

Nothing great about the Blackpool pubs when I went there.They were almost as sexist as BR, the only decent one was the bikers pub close to the bus depot.

Last year I took Phils 2 girls and promised them that after the show id take them into Blackpool as niether had ever been there o

The judging took for ages , didnt finish till about 3 30.ish and the last thing I wanted to do with, a 3 hour drive home ,was go into Blackpool , but a promise is a promise o

I drove into the town and headed for the `sea` front , on seeing it the girls said `is that it !!!( we`d only just come back from a lovely week in Tenerife ,with blue sky and Sea to match !)

As usual the sea was a horrid mucky brown colour

I drove along the Sea front and pointed out Blackpool Tower , `It looks like an Oil Rig ` said Gaynor , not impressed at all . :blink:

`would you like me to park up so we can have a walk?` I asked . `not unles YOU want to ` was the reply , So home I drove . putting an extra 1/2hr on my journey for nothing :blink:

I loved it when it was IN Blackpool , One year we took the dogs on the beach and it was so windy only Whippet peps were brave enough to go on the sands :*

The last time I went to Blackpool, Liz B (Alfie)and I sat in traffic for nearly 3 hours in Birmingham, got to Blackpool about 10.30pm, walked along the front and let the dogs off on the beach just as all the lights started to get turned off. Had a god awful show in the cold and drizzle and the judge decided to judge the IGs out side. Coming home got tall gated at speed on the M6, the whole of the back of the car was squashed in and had to be crow barred open by the police. We had 4 dogs in boxes who were showered with glass but were okay. Then had a flaming row with the insurance company about a technicality on my insurance and didnt get the car fixed for about 2 months.

Only been up the M6 once since, nope it would have to be a super duper judge to get me to Blackpool again and even then I would prefer if they posted the ticket to me instead (did I really say that :- " I should be so lucky)

I'm going to Blackpool as well so you won't be the only whippet person there Vanna. Just think if we are the only two there you will be able to let Jax know who I am!!!

Just for you there is the Tache (by the bus station) and they've now opened a bikers sandwich bar next door!
