Yes... it was great to meet so many fellow K9'rs with their beautiful whippet's and of course the famous iggies!

Congrats to everyone!

Julie

Hey it was a good day! Summer was looking well. Its was nice to meet you Julie and your little baby soo cute  Keano is now on a diet its my own fault for giving him to much treats (w00t) (w00t)

Who won Best of Breed in the whippets?? I was stuck at the Toy ring and couldn't get over to see everyone.

Well done to everyone though

It was lovely to meet Julie and your charming daughter and bonnie baby! I'm sorry Zoomie wasn't a bit more cuddly but he was having a really grumpy day. He was grumpy in the ring too which I think lost him first place because he wouldn't show up to his usual performance. Our judge (Gladys :- " something) made no attempt to hide her preference for 'fluffies' and a Pom won both the group and minor puppy (and the handler and the judge had long friendly chats while the dog was on the table????? At least she could have tried to hide her bias!!!)

Anyway, Zoomie took a second in AVNSC, Lottie took a second in a large minor puppy class (and she show'd beautifully for just her second ever show so I'm over-the-moon with her) and Georgie took a third in a large puppy class too!!!

Sounds like you all had a good day, except maybe Grumpy Zoomie (w00t) :- " He was obviously totally unimpressed that the judge preferred balls of fluffy instead of sleek sexy italians, what planet was she on  (w00t)

Any pics.......................

Hi Fiona it was Ms M and Mr G Hendrie and McColl Stronglane Sarah Moon who took BOB and i think it was a Beagle who took the group. Was Zoomie grumpy cause you got him out of his bed far to early? (w00t) (w00t) he prob wanted to snuggle up to millie lab. Well done to Lottie and Georgie and ave course Zoomie  its nice to get something when your in a big class! Hopefully Zoomie will have cheered up by the time his next show comes along. Do you know who took BIS?

No pict i need to invest in a camera and a computer cause i;ll get into trouble for using this one at work (w00t)

(w00t) Zoomie was grumpy because I forgot to pack cake for him at the show!!!

Poor man only goes for the cake. He had to make do with a chip after his class so he turned his nose up at that (and Lottie ate it of course... after several of her own!)

Don't know who was BIS. Not heard of that whippet either - are they new to showing? There are some nice beagles on the go just now (and a nice borzoi but I've not seen it at shows for ages).

Not sure how long theyve been showing for but i know they are both involved in the whippet racing. I think Jill and Shelia will prob know more about them then me. Poor Zoomie imagine forgeting his cake (w00t) Keano had to much cake lately and is on a diet so i think he will be a very grumpy man

Maggie and graham (stronglane) have had show and racing whippets for years.they do not show up this way very often and just over the last year have come to aberdeen and dundee shows. They have been very sucessful with their show and racing whippets and the little bitch that won best whippet on sat has had a very good show career.Believe me i know she keeps beeting my summer. They are a lovely couple and like most of us would do anything for their dogs :cheers:They are also ,ithink still, on the whippet club of scotland committee.

Well hopefully next time summer will get her chance! but aslong as she doesnt beat keano in the process   only joking looks like am off the weekend for kelso so if i cant persuade dad to give me a lift me and keano may hitch a lift from you guys if thats ok

Aww we never even noticed Zoomie was grumpy... we thought he flicked his toes out well and was very charming and hospitable to his fans :huggles: !

Maggie and Graham who won the best of breed also own the sire of our pup.

Robyn bought her show lead on Saturday... so Ruby will be off to ring craft classes on Monday night. I'm not sure if it will be Ruby's cup of tea :- " she's not into standing still but Robyn want's to have a go and I'm sure Ruby will enjoy the socialising :)

Good luck this weekend!

Julie

well done
