Hi

Now that Digger is up and 'raring to go'

We will be now definately going to the show at Bournemouth.

Taking the caravan and the plan is to camp there from Thursday thro till possibly Tuesday - this will be our annual holiday 8) 8)

Will any other K9'ers be there - it would be nice to meet for a barbi and possibly the odd dribk or two   :- "

Hope we will see some of you, if not at the site, at the show

Is there a show in Bournemouth? I live near Bmth, where abouts? - I might pop down for a look.

Hi Tab

Welcome to K9 :D

The show is held at New Park Showground, which is between Lyndhurst and Brokenhurst on the A337.

Saturday is Toys and Hounds - Sunday Terrier, Pastoral and Working groups - Monday Utility and Gundog

 Yes im going didnt go last year not missing this one.

Not camping thow driving up on the day

Millie and I are going but I don't 'do' camping and only live an hour away anyway!!! See you there Deb

Thinking of going down there myself, can i take the dogs if they have not been booked in to compete?

Might even go down friday night and come back saturday night if i can get some dog friendly accomodation, been looking on the internet and cannot seem to find anything. :(

Any one down that way no of anywhere i can book that is whippet friendly? :))

Hi Cleopatra

The schedule lists six places for accomodation close to the showground (don't know if they are dog friendly, but would imagine so) It does state that early reservations are advised. pm me if you want the details (bearing in mind we set off tomorrow morning)

The schedule also states that the New Forest Tourist Information Centre (01590 689000) will be able to list others

I think you can take unentered dogs, but they have to be left in facilities for non competition dogs, for which there is a charge I believe. I hope someone will correct me if I'm wrong on this.

Oh, the Bournemouth Canine Society Championship Show! :dunce: :D Might well pop down then - haven't been to that show in years. Good luck everyone.

No dogs that arnt entered can enter the show ground , the tents they have are outside the general area , IMO they are best left at home , providing they are ok there ;) cos they will have to be left on a bench with strangers and could get upset if not used to it couldnt they

Oh well thanks anyway :)

Perhaps i will see when the next show is and enter Them.

Who's judging whippets?
Mr D J Hopkins Aslan
