Hi all,

Just watching the news of the devastation in Brisbane, Gold Coast and Sunshine Coast with the mad storm that whipped through the area.

I just got off the phone with Pat Adam, (Grau Whippets) all are safe there, although the kennel dogs were very lucky to be alive as gum tree's fell into the runs with only inches to spared from the kennel block. Pat was stuck during the storm down in her shed as she was trying to get to the dogs but had to take shelter from falling branches. lucky they were one of the first on the list to have a tree lopper come in and cut up the tree's so Pat could get to the dogs.

:sweating:

We're only glad that we had to cancel our trip to Sydney or we would of been in Brisbane for the weekend. I don't mind the little storm I got caught in the week before coming back from the Gold Coast. :)

Hope everyone with all breeds of dogs are ok and that there hasn't been any losses. :luck:

Gosh that must have been really scarey. (w00t)

Makes you wonder what is happening to our weather ,or is this normal `down under`?

According to the news tonight it was the biggest storm Brisbane has experienced in 25 years. Storms at this time of year are par for the course but this one was big and treacherous.

Glad to hear all is ok at Grau.

Yes, nobody at Grau was injured, which was a miracle, as Pat was in the kennels at the time and huge tree fell on the run only missing the actual building by an inch. It will be a big clean up, and from what I heard most of the kennel fences will need replacing.

I dont understand what you are saying. :( Is it "You like being on top". Or "You are top heavy"
