Following the interview with Steve Williams on SKY 854, this channel is going to be doing a small slot each evening this week about whippet racing. People have been asked to e-mail to this channel any questions or enquiries that they may have about our sport, also existing whippet racers are asked to e-mail them and tell them all about their racing club, the area that they are in, how long they have been in racing.
If enough interest is generated SKY are considering attending a couple of opens to show the general public what whippet racing is all about.
Who knows one day we may be able to have our championships televised, what a great opportunity this is for all of us to show the rest of the country why we love whippet racing so much.
The e-mail address for SKY will be at the bottom of the screen when channel 854 is on, so please contact them and give them some of the wealth of information that is out there, especially from some of our long standing whippet racers.
Mr.Boyd, your name springs to mind, you must have some great stories to share about the joys and disappointments, all the hard work that is put in by the owners, and the whole family can take part, which is why we have different generations from a family are carrying on in the sport.
