Hi everyone, just a reminder that the reps meeting starts at 10.00am

and the AGM open to all members starts at 1.00pm on Sunday Nov 5th. at

Old Hall Miners Club.

the meetings will be held in the bowling club in the restaurant area and the management have requested anyone wearing muddy footwear after being on the field to please remove them before entering the building.

Your co-operation on this matter would be greatley appreciated

regards Doreen

I would like to thank our regions 4 reps for attending this meeting, a long day by all accounts but it is very much appreciated!

Yes likewise------ you are all doing a grand job thanks a lot ---sure you made a difference--- at least you can see that things are done as they should be ----and can have your say if not

thankyou once again for giving up your time and money to help this little region and its members ---

thanks for your appreciation vicky, jac and steve, having said that the reps can only do so much, when it comes to the AGM its the members individual votes and input that makes a difference. It is not down to the reps to attend the AGM on their behalf. To have less than fifty members( most of them being reps ) out of over 200 attend an AGM really is a very poor show..(again).

There is a topic on here about promoting whippet racing, perhaps if some racers gave a little bit of their time to attend at the very least 1 meeting in a year

to put veiws and ideas forward that in itself is a start. If things are to to improve then the members need to get off their arses and get involved

linda

not everyone can afford to attend meetings i for one can't,but i do know what you mean, and from what iv'e heard well the less said the better.

Ive said it before and i will say it again the agm could be arranged at a main camping event...thous allowing most of the members to be present if they wish...its to late in the year for some members to afford to travel with Xmas around the corner ..

Linda whilst i would agree with most of what you have said i and many others attended a AGM at Asforby a couple of years ago when things were voted on and three months later because it did not suit some they were changed------ so i said then i would not waste my time and money attending any more AGM's-- as i have many other more worth while things i can do with it ---things have got worse now so i am very sorry but its not for me---

i dont want any replies this is my view and that is something i am entitled to if you dont agree all well and good as far as i am concerned you are entitled to your opinion and i would not want to change that.

steve

At the end of the day some people have the time and money to drive all that way and sit in a meeting for the best part of a day, i'm not one of these at the moment (hence i don't put myself forward for regional committee positions either) - good luck to those that can. Having representatives for our region is a step in the right direction at least

does anyone have a list of the bwra 2007 dates please

on a more important issue in all the excitement of attending the A.G.M i left my kick board at old hall it is gold with mad max written on it so if somebody could return it to me at highgate it would be much appreciated

thanks, john

Think Dee's idea was a good one maby have the meeting on the bank holiday monday after the champs. then there will be a lot more people there. Maby one to propose next year.

Also have to agree with steve, last year was the first year and the last I attended the AGM it cost £30 to get there only to hear the words the reginal reps will take it to the members. This year I put the £40 it now costs to go to old hall towards x-mas prezies( least Kirean will be happy christmas morning).

I left the meeting early for my one personal reasons and was not their for the Championship Venue vote, but I must say and this is my own personal opinion that the top should have decided on next years Championship venues or failing this it should have gone out to a National vote owing to such a low turn out of members at the AGM. Surely the best venue possible for the bends should have been a must, especially as it is the 40th Anniversary of the BWRA, and Stainforth is head and shoulders above the venue that was voted in, once again this is own personal opinion.

(w00t) Stainforth now we're talking

I know of at least 2 dogs who'd love that extra distance

40 years eh (w00t) wonder if there's going to be something special to celebrate it by?

Agree with aw006m7593 all our events should go to the membars through a postal vote if Stainforth was available we should be using it

Would someone from the top table post what did go on  as i have looked in your own site and theres no update, but you are using k9 to remind people to go to meeting

Can some one please explain to me why two people that have been banned from the bwra in the past  are allowed to one put up for a job on the top table two be a bwra regional rep :( this is just taking the p___s out of membars again

i agree this should go out for postal vote along with nomination for the post of vice president and the vote to elect the person onto the top table, thats why i would not vote on the matter :b
