Can any of you lovely people who show whippets tell me if you have heard of a breeder in the St.Albans area called Mr.E.L.Smith, all of his dogs have Saxoncroft in their names. My young whippet is one of theirs her sire is called Saxoncroft Flanders Field and her dam is Little Passion at Saxoncroft, Her grandsire on her dads side was a prizewinner at Crufts 2000 according to her Pedigree and is called Plattins Just Dandy at Saxoncroft. Any help you could give in tracing the breeder would be very much appreciated

Are you sure its not Patlyns, Dani. The Affix is not known to me but some of the others may be able to help.

Found your crufts dog, he was 5th in minor puppy. What colour is your new baby?

The Saxoncroft affix belongs to Mesdames SE Hornblower & S Sears. They are or were located in the Midlands. They certainly at one time owned Little Passion and Plattin Dandy because they were in the ring with them during my brief spell of showing.

It's Plattin not Plattins by the way.

Soraya Spartan At Saxoncroft

Denelsie Glint of Gold at Saxoncroft

Oh and I believe that they also showed terriers.

BeeJay Thanks for all the info you posted . I have been in touch with the breeder (Mr. Smith) and as you said Saxoncroft is not their affix :b they just own the whippets now. Thank you as well Karen for your input about the Crufts dog . My problem is well sorted so thanks again for your swift and speedy help
