Lovely pics

Couldn't you try taking a ball or frisby with you for your dogs to play with?

I panic when i see a dog with a stick, heard far too many horror stories of dogs stabbing themselves to death with sticks.

A few months ago,Flyn, who never bothers with sticks (he always plays with a ball on a rope but i'd forgotten to take it) managed to stab himself under his tongue, forunately,it wasn't serious :sweating: ,but he had to be knocked out at the vets to examine the damage :(

There's nothing more heartwarming than seeing photos of whippets out and about having a great time, and back home, all contented after their run.

I love the group shot with your dads' Rottweilers. Lovely to see such different breeds getting on so well. Such a picture of contrasts. :huggles:

Thanks for the advice Debs, I do usaully take ball and rope thingy but they always run with it for a bit..then drop it as soon as see a stick   i just cant seem to get her out of it.

will keep extra eye on them though

Looks like you had a great time. Where abouts do you live? We're not a great distance from Cannock Chase either, but haven't been for ages. I get scared that a snake will bite the dogs!! - once i saw loads whilst i was there

Love the pics. The rotties are gorgeous. As are the whippets. (w00t)

Urghh! really? Dont tell me that! ( about the snakes!)

I heard you sometimes get adders in the summer but thought they were pretty rare!

I cant believe you saw one , let alone LOADS! ive got the creeps now.

Not that im really funny about snakes as such, i used to handle them when i worked at petworld but its just the fact of seeing them out in the wild!

I live in Burton BTW, not too far from cannock chase but not close enough to go every week, Ive only ever been two or three times with the dogs! :D

It was in summer on a really sunny day. Just down one particular path there were a good few Adders sunbathing. I've handled snakes too but it's weird seeing them in the wild!
