Just smashed my car up, on the way to the horses this early morning :( :( :(

cant believe it, in 4months ive been driving 7yrs and ive never even bumped a car. Im gutted.

The man infront slammed on his brakes due to a large piece of plastic in the road, so obviously i put my brakes on but then the plastic came under his car (he had come to a complete stop by this time) and wrapped its self around my wheel, my car just went sideways, and kept on sliding....... and squished into the back of his car.

unfortunatly my car was a long wheel base 4x4, with bull bars, and completely ruined his vectra! ... and the pouring rain didnt help.

Ive managed to walk to my parents house but they went on holiday for 2 weeks today and my bf cant come out of work.

gutted :(

will this be my fault? and i wasnt speeding either , the car dosnt go fast enough! lol

Poor you.

Look on the bright side cars can be replaced but people can't.

Yes unfortunately if the car infront stops and you go into it(for whatever reason) it is your fault.

I had an accident at work start of Dec, involving the Merlo(tractor) I was driving and a car. There was Police, Ambulance & Fire Brigade involved. His car was a write off. I have got to go into police to make a statement, I was also breathalised for the first time(T. Totaller)

sorry to hear this just glad your ok :huggles:

Sorry to hear whats happened, the main thing is that you are ok hun  :huggles:

Oh dear, sorry to hear this, but the main thing is that you are ok :huggles:

:huggles: aww hun chin up ,the main thing is your both ok :huggles: thats what insurance is for ,so you have to pay a bit more on your premium a bummer i know :huggles: but hey your alive so smile in knowing that hun :huggles:

thats a bad job kim. like everyone else has said..you werent hurt so thats the main thing.

were the cops involved ? itll probably be a "safe stopping distance" issue, though weather conditions will be a contributing factor. its a case now of wait and see.

fingers crossed eh..

j  hn

just spoke to the other driver and he has actually admitted doing an emergency stop because he thought the plastic was a dog! and ge didnt realise anyone was behind him (id only just set off a couple of yards away from calling to the shop for charlie horse some mints!) he said sorry he didnt admit that at the time and he was shaken up. he was quite an oldish man so i suppose its nice he is truthful

well i cant say anythng because i always think pieces of plastic etc, are animals and go "awwww" at any road debris. :- "

just sorting the insurance out, and turns out things have changed now that if u do run in the back of someone its not always your fault. makin me feel alot better now, just my neck n tum hurts.

and Amber n Dion were fine, thankfully

just made me realise how much damage bull bars n 4x4 can do

Thank goodness you wernt hurt, thats the main thing. I know its terrible to damage a car .....but its only metal at the end of the day.

Hope you get everything sorted quickly. :luck: :huggles:

Good job nobodys seriously hurt, but mustve been quite scary for u! Hope it all works owt well with insurance etc. :huggles:

Looks like two having crashes, my mum had a smash yesterday morning. Local council van in to the back of her estate stationary at lights. Looks like the insurance wants to write it off what with it being an R reg.
