I have two whippets and have a 2003 ford fiesta. There is plenty of room for both of them and they even lay down if they want. We even put the next door neighbours golen retriever in there and they have been fine. We travel quite alot for walks and down to my mums and dads and they have been fine. They have a nice bit of vet bed in there aswell.

Peugeot 206 Diesel Estate for me, very economic to run, room behind seats for big enough cage for 2 whippets, or can have dog guard and tailgate fitted. Back seats easily removed to make more dog space. Neat size if you dont want a large estate.

I have a 206 diesel estate too. And love it. The dog guard fits in easily and there is pleanty of room for whippets. But it is still like driving a small car.

My old Astra hatchback was ideal but when she got old and sick we looked at the new Astras and .......... horror of horrors, instead of being metal on the underneath of the back seat it was FOAM RUBBER!!!! Can you imagine it!! I only crate my dogs when we go to lure coursing so it would have been awfully tempting! Looked at loads of others and eventually settled on a VW Golf Estate because it was only a squidgeon longer than the Astra and is a nice square shape. Got a 1900 diesel and, I have to say, is quite pokey when you give it a bit of wellie!!

this is what we got to go to shows and carry all 6 of our whippets with us

we also have enough room to carry all our camping gear when we go

racing or coursing because we normally camp and sleep in the van in

the field - we put about 50,000 miles/year on it and it has held up well

with those long long night drives -

dwight

I have a Renault Espace , (w00t) But could do with this . .. Ship it over :- "
