My condolences too to Karen, Mick and family. Blade was a lovely dog, and a great part of the Bear dynasty - he will be long remembered.
This was a truly tragic event, and one we never want to see the like of again.
It brought a sharp, and not very welcome reminder that we race our dogs at a risk. It is as minimal as we can make it and days like this are thankfully rarer than hens teeth, but there IS a risk.
That said, a heart attack, if indeed that is what it was, can happen at any time under any circumstances, and as someone else said, at least Blade was doing something he loved to do.
