Dear All
I thought I would be really cheeky. Most of you who know me, know that I am a complete scatter brain and this weekend was no exception. I travelled 268 miles to spend one of the most enjoyable weekends for a long time, only to remember half way that I forgot to pack a camera. Nevermind I thought, not expecting any great wins, not a problem, WRONG!
I showed my friends Lurcher Pup for her (she is new to the game and didn't want her first showing experience to be at one of the biggest shows) and whilst i have told them for the last 6 months that she has a nice pup on her hands, I think we were both surprised that Torres was Champion Puppy on Saturday and placed 3rd on Sunday, so well done to Angela (and her hubby alex) for getting the pup in good condition - he was a pleasure to show on saturday, bit of a pain on Sunday, but was only his 3rd show, so promising signs. I know that my friend took pictures of this, but ....
Sunday, saw my little Tessa win the veteran class and I wondered whether anyone took any pictures of this, typical that Tessa pulls this off and i don't capture the moment. I was especially pleased with Tessa on this as she has managed to have a second win this year and not only is she doing it in the veterans, she is still being placed (and winning) her class against much younger dogs!
Final request, i promise, did any one take an pictures of the Smooth Bitch over 23" under 26" class on both days, my bitch Zante was 2nd both days and this weekend was the best she has handled, but again, no pics to remember this with. I think her 2nd birthday on Thursday helped!
Anyway, if anyone would like to share these photos here, or pm me, great.
Big well done to all those class winners and all 38 dogs in the final - all deserved their 5 mins of fame, big congrats to Maria Pether with Rebus, Zante's brother, we've got a lot to live up to now.
Big thanks to NL&RC for a very good show and all the kind comments about Tigger, my oldest bitch, who for the first time this year, did not make the journey, she kept the two staffs company at home.
