anyone have any idea how to get chewing gum, from out of a dogs paw? It is stuck right in there, between his pads...

:(

Ice cube or bag of frozen peas will set it enough for you to peel it out, oh dear thats a nasty thing to happen, poor Dude! dirty people should use bins

xx

i have had to resort to hairdressing scissors :( its completely wedged up between his middle toes, and sticking his big pad to that. I've managed to get the majority off, but there is still a fair bit round the very edges. Theres also a bit on his other front paw!!! How he got it on both i do not understand.

To confuse matters the only frozen thing in my tiny ice box is lamb bones, dude is fairly offended that i am holding a frozen lamb bone to his paw, and not letting him at it.

Happily though, he's not a particularly cuddly dog normally, but when you are doing this kind of thing he gets very cute, he's been licking me and acting all pathetic to try and get me to stop. Bless him, it must be very sore someone pulling on your toe hairs! What a brave chap he is :)

round two in the morning i think.

would luke warm water help ? let the paw dangle in it then when its soft and wet go for it.

Where on earth did he stand in chewing gum??

Well done for getting lots of it out - I hope it comes off better today!

god knows where he got it from, and on both!!

Having said that tho, you should see the things daytrippers leave down here on the beach, its horrendous especially on a bank holiday. I felt all smug heading away from the coast yesterday, loads of cars in the opposite direction, i guess he'd already trod on it though, from the amount of mud and grass seeds stuck in there.

I'm going to try warm water next, he really hated the frozen bone thing. Facebook also tells me to try peanut butter, and cocacola?! Anyone tried these?

I think warm soapy water should shift it?

Warmth makes it stringy and harder to get off, peanut butter?????? worth a bash I suppose LOL

update; warm water does indeed make it stickier, but wow, for future reference peanut butter works a treat! And he stopped resisting and just lay there and got a weird greasy toe massage. It came right off, no more pulling his toe hairs yay :)

Loving the idea of 'a weird, greasy toe massage' - lol
