Does your child have a bank account?

When Ben was 2 my Nan opened a bank account for him and his pocket money goes into it. Today he wanted to draw some money out . Now my mum had the bank book as she puts the money in.In the car on the way down OH is looking at the book and sees it regulary says TAX DEDUCTION I asked at the bank and they said- oh is he not a tax payer?- He's 15 they said it is automatically taken out of savings accounts so for 13 years he has been paying tax it works out probably around £50 in total.

He had to sign a form saying he does not pay tax and now we have to go to the tax office to claim it all back

If your child has a savings account check that they too are not paying tax

It is chat zone doesn't have to be about dogs its a warning to others t check their childs saving accounts as they too may be paying tax

Sorry, my mistake! As for Brown, don't start me off on that p*****k, just had to pay my car tax so I feel really anti at the moment, and I run a diesel car so get hit twice, and we have oil for cooking and heating. £1.000 per annum now, it was £400 when we started, where does this government think we can get all this extra money from? :rant: :rant: :rant: :rant: :rant:

eh, :lol: i will get you off, :lol: god i remember the good times i do, fost wiks wage, for a 37 and half hr wik, £3 2 shillings and sixpence, and i worked my flange off fer that, then when i got married, council house, 3 up 3 down nice gardens back n front, weekly rent, cop fer this, just under £2 eh, 5 woodbines and a box of matches off mrs donger 9d, school din dins 12d, and i eat my mates spotted dick, i could go on and on but im depressing missen :lol:

Wow my first wage was £3-00 a week working in a kennels, I exercsied 25 GSD a day, cleaned and fed same plus the boarders, next was 35 pekes!!!!!!!!! Grooming daily, feeding, cleaning, matings whelpings!!!!!!! All for £3-10s a week, Ain't life grand if you don't weaken, by lad I cud tell ee tails abat the past.

My first job paid £15 in kennels - 55 hours a week - 60 rough collies and boarders to look after...not sure what that has to do with childrens bank accounts though... :- " :lol: :thumbsup:

my 2 hve bank accounts but never have they been taxed and if they were the my bank would not like it i can tell you that much id be down there in a second demanding them the money back plus the interest they had missed out on plus compensation for the stress time and hasstle it has cost me, god ill tell you one this companys hate me if there stuff goes wrong :rant: :rant:
