Yesterday I decided that it's getting cold enough to have a fire but thought the chimney would need sweeping as it's been a couple of years since it was done :- "

2 black bags of soot later & some cut knuckles :( (bit too enthusiastic with pole pushing) I thought I'd done well to keep the dogs clear, stupidly left the bags outside the back door whilst I tidied up. One of my once white faced lurchers came strolling in looking as he'd worked a shift in a coal mine :oops:

I didn't realise how difficult soot was to get off, he still looks a bit grey this am, luckily it was only 1 of the dogs so could have been a lot worse :lol:
 
:lol: :lol: it will take you ages to get him back to having a white face again.

they just have to have a nosey dont they,its a little like gloss paint as soon as you need to use it does the dogs wear it :lol:
