My cockapoo, Daisy, obviously has a very thick coat - She also has some skin irritation that we're treating :(

I'm wondering if there's some good brush recommendations that will work for her curly coat but remain nice and gentle? - our current brush isn't hurting her but doesn't detangle well.

What about one of the human detangling brushes?

You could also spray her coat with a detangling product.

Like a wet brush or tangle teezer? :) We do use a spray, but I don't see much difference so maybe need a better one of those too!

Yes, a tangle teaser type thing was what I had in mind (but couldn't remember the actual name).

Wahl offers a decent range of brushes. You could try their nylon slicker brush, which is good for sensitive skin. In the meantime, you should also use a sensitive shampoo and conditioner, like the Johnsons Manuka Honey Shampoo & Conditioner. The conditioner should help with detangling. Detangling sprays should only be used after the skin irritation has cleared up.

Someone on here ages ago mentioned a 'Mookie' brush. I actually bought one and I was really impressed with it. I found them great for detangling and they are gentle. Might be worth having a look, plus the cap doubles as a massage tool, which my dogs also love!😊
